2 Player; Starting a Game
The 2 player mode added in version 1.1 requires 2 machines to be connected via a LAN cable, for direct network play, 2 players cannot play on one machine.
From the main menu select 2 player (you never would have figured that). Now one player must choose "Start LAN Game" while the other player selects "Join LAN Game". The player that starts the game is the "host". After choosing start game, the host will be able to set the options for the game while waiting for the other player to join. When the host selects start game, the game will start once a player has connected.
The player joining, after selecting Join LAN Game will be taken to Windows where the join game box comes up. If Bubble Blower does not automatically minimize, press Alt+Tab, although this event is rare. This player should select TCP connection and let Windows find the game itself. Then this player waits until the host starts.
Game Play
You and your opponent compete for survival, when a players pool fills up, the other player wins. You can attack you player with black bubbles. When you perform a combo or a large grouping, you will send black bubbles to the opponent. The number of black bubbles sent increases as the combo or group number gets higher. Black bubbles are present only in 2 player and behave differently to the other bubbles, here's some facts about black bubbles
* Joining 2 black bubbles creates a black bubble, but the group number does not add, the higher number is taken. This means you cannot get rid of them by joining them together.
* Joining a black bubble with any other colour creates a black bubble, and the higher group number is taken.
* Any shockwave hitting a black bubble will increase its group number, this is the only way to get rid of them (other than the pool)
* Once the group value reaches 3, the bubble will group. For a black bubble group, you get no points, no deduction from the pool, and no shockwave. You get no rewards whatsoever.
See? They're nasty aren't they? When you get black bubbles, keep them away from coloured bubbles and get rid of them by putting them in shockwaves from other groupings.
