8 Historical Battles

40 ReadMe.txt documents from the Creators

Installation:

Method 1 - Installmaker Packaged Version Only:

If you downloaded the "STWMapPack_1.13.exe" then you have this version.

1:) - Install this to the drive that contains your installation of Shogun Total War. You should only need to specify the drive letter since all of the necessary paths are included in this already.

i.e. "C:\" is all that's needed.

If you did not install to the default path;  "C:\Program Files\Total War\Shogun - Total War" then you will need to specify which drive you used.

If you did not install Shogun in a folder named "Program Files" then you will need to COPY the "Total War" folder, after you have installed it to a drive, and then paste it accordingly so that all of the included files will arrive in their default locations.

i.e. a different path used such as : "E:\Total War\Shogun - Total War" in this case you will need to copy the "Total War" folder and paste it and it's contents to the drive "E:\".

As long as all of the contents in the folder "Total War", contained herein, arrive in the exact same folder - you'll be fine.

Once installed, you can then restart Shogun and all of the installed files will be selectable in the Custom Battles, Multiplayer Maps, or Historical Battles lists.

I highly recommend that you use Windows Explorer to make sure that all of your files installed properly, and also to browse through and read the files in the ReadMe.txts folder that were included in this installation.

2:) - Uninstalling - You may uninstall this map pack provided you did not change the directories/paths to where you installed the files originally. Use "Add/Remove Program Files" from the " Start/Settings/Control Panel" menu to remove this program's installed files. You may also access the uninstaller from the "Programs" menu in Windows.

Installation:

Method 2 - WinZip Version Only

If you downloaded the "STWMapPack_1.13.ZIP" then you have this version.

1:) – WinZip 7.0 or better is necessary in order to use this version. You may obtain WinZip for free from the following site: http://www.winzip.com

2;) – Unzip the contents to the default installation destination – or to the drive where your copy of Shogun Total War resides. If you installed Shogun to “C:\Program Files\Total War” then just specify “C:\” as the path.

If you installed to a different drive then make the necessary adjustments.

If you installed to a different Directory path entirely such as “D:\Games\Total War…” then you will need to unzip this to the default location and then COPY the Total War folder and it’s contents into the Proper spot. In the last case you would need to copy it to the “D:\Games\” folder.

Once copied in properly, or installed properly, you will then see a new folder in your “Shogun – Total War” directory called “ReadMe.txts”. Open this up and read through all of the available files that were provided by the map’s creators.

Using The New Maps:

Simply start Shogun as normal, look for the new maps and historical battles in the Custom Battles and Historical Battles menus. They should all be there now.

 Have Fun!
