By default, Study adds cards you create to the Practice stack automatically. After you’ve answered a card, Study will then schedule it for review at a later time. When you need to review a card depends on how well you’ve mastered it.
Adding Cards Manually
You can add a card to the Practice stack manually:
- Select the stack containing the card you want to add in the source list.
- Select the card you want to add.
- Click the ★ (Add Card to Practice) button.
When viewing cards in list view, you can also drag the cards and drop them on the Practice stack.
Changing How Cards Are Added Automatically
You can change how Study will add cards to the Practice stack automatically in the General preference pane:
- From the menu bar, choose Study > Preferences….
- Select the Practice pane.
- Under Practice Cards, check Add new cards to Practice stack to have Study add new cards when you create them.
- Check Add cards to Practice stack after editing to have Study add cards whenever you change either their front or back text.
