Searching your computer for bookmark

You can use Spotlight to search your computer for bookmarks you have in Webbla.

To search your computer for a bookmark:

Step 1

Display the Spotlight search field.

Click the Spotlight icon on the right side of the menu bar, or in the Finder.

You can also press Command-Space bar to display the search field. You can change this default keyboard shortcut in Keyboard and Mouse preferences.

Step 2

Type the website name or URL what you want to search for. When you start typing, Spotlight starts to display matching results, which change as you continue to type.

Step 3

Review the results.

To get information about an item in the results list, select it in the list and press Command-I.

To zoom in or out of results displayed in icon view in the Finder, drag the slider at the bottom right of the window.

If you started from the Spotlight menu, you can further refine results by selecting Show All to display a search window. If you started from a search window or an Open or Save dialog, you can refine the results in the search window.

In the result list you will see the site symbol of the website or the standard icon for each bookmark.

You don't need to launch Webbla to visit a bookmark you have found with Spotlight.

For more information about using Spotlight, go to the Finder and choose Help > Mac Help. Enter “spotlight” in the search field and press Return.
