Planetary.js is for whenever a developer needs to display a World map, but he wants to do it using a 3D sphere instead of a flat surface.
Planetary.js can build the globe and overlay a perfect World map on top of it.
The library is extremely small for the features it delivers, including and extra package for showing animated locations on the globe.
To navigate the Globe users can utilize their mouse, via drag and drop and mouse wheel scrolling.
